Jakarta, Indonesia - Day 4

Today I slept in till about 10am, and then was lazy for another 2 hours or so playing on the Internet..chatting with others in the hostel. Didn't haven't much of a plan for today. Just before noon I decided to go geocaching today. Now, normally that's a quick and easy thing to do. However, with no car or even bike I had to walk everywhere. So I attempted 4 caches today that were some what "near" the hostel. Not sure how many miles I walked today, but I can say that this evening as I sit here and type this I'm glad to be off my feet. It was 6 hours roughly, so I'm going to guess at least 10 miles. :)
Unfortunately, today I saw a lot of "raw" Jakarta. The streets are filthy and the pollution is terrible. There is garbage everywhere, piles of it! It's floating in single water way, piled up at the bridges. Also since the city functions mainly on 2 and 3 wheeled vehicles, running small "put-put" engines, the pollution is terrible. The motorcycles must out number the people, they are by far the most common thing here. The three wheel "pollution machines", or motor cycle taxis are the worst offenders, you can see the pollution from their tail pipes and it's smells just like a lawn mower engine.
Well today I also found a scale at the hostel, and of course was obliged to test it. If it's correct, some how I lost 2kgs on vacation. My eating has been terrible, but come to think of it I think I've been functioning on 2 meals a day...and even those are not really complete meals. I few things here and there from street venders, but I really haven't eaten much here. As back home, I have drank a lot of water and tea since I've been here.
